The Beauty of Exaltation
There is the air of life surrounding beings
Oxygen we breathe in
Breathe out
An effervescent tonality
Wafting from creation’s song of life,
Whose melody we learn throughout life.
Some sense it
Some hear it
Some know it
For Hedonists…
Doing what feels good,
Self-care,
Fulfilling desires,
And feeling a sense of satisfaction
Allows limited happiness,
As its often-hubristic influence
Tends to baffle parts of the melody’s harmony.
Oh, how fortunate
The exalted ones who practice
Conviction with passion
Share inspiration to change behaviors and conduct
And discover exaltation can change life.
Resonant are the ones
That find it easy
To wear their earned smile
Without reservation,
Allowing joy’s subtle vibrations to sing.
When I sing of the songs exalting the little Jesus baby this time of year, I get a good warm feeling in my heart because all babies are very innocent and beautiful. And the life of Jesus, like Gandhi and other martyrs is very commendable as a way of life that very few can follow.
But a warm feeling in my heart is not what is needed. What is needed is to act well throughout life until life is gone. And that is all, all there is.
