With so many ways to abide by the necessities of solitude, a dreamscape of hope is always available.

Poem Artwork

Seclusion’s Forever Twilight

Atop the desolate desert sand, he did walk

Where once rose Nature’s mountainous underpinnings,

When exposure to transparent purity,

Nourishment for hungry growth

And fortification to protect

The blooming of integrity

Was the only defense needed.

Where goes the disappointment,

The treacherous betrayal,

The shadow of what once was,

His childhood innocence,

His adolescent adventure,

His trust of adult stalwartness,

His senior years of reflection?

Now but an enigmatic journey

Alongside the other creatures of survival,

Desert organisms of simple requirements,

And stunted shadows of the past,

He nods to a Roadrunner and circle of ravens

As they journey together toward

Seclusion’s forever twilight.

"The shadow of what once was,"........Your words are comforting if that's the way it is, Odin, but this world has turned hateful and angry. Keep your cool thoughts coming through!!

Love ya!
