Sparkling Drift

Yes, for many of us, love is a many-splendored thing amassed for joy until the winds of change attempt to scramble such cohesiveness. (Photo by Michael Frye)

Poem Artwork

Sparkling Drift

How selective

Love’s nomadizing secret,

This crystalline passion,

Like the wandering sands of search.

What brings the sparkling drift

Of light’s particles,

Amassing about the detached isolation,

To coalesce with willing sadness reaching for

Happiness larger than itself?

Such is love’s calming

That follows the winds of chaos,

Finally accepting the current positive

Where order comforts chaos,

And tears glisten the ground

Of arrival.

For what benefits a person adrift,

Knowing not bonding’s need,

The grounding of passion’s weightlessness

Finding purchase beyond tempest discord,

The tumult of loneliness

Enjoining ethereal intimacy

Of a sparkling drift

Dancing in the dark?

Love, when it arrives, clams all the clamor and turns chaos into peace. When a lovely, soulful poem, Odin.

I believe one can find happiness alone as long as one has a love for themselves. But if love is needed from someone else, it is codependent and therefore subject to great loss upon severance of that codependency.

I believe you have reached that point of self-love where someone else is not needed, but greatly appreciated, to end your loneliness.

I'm convinced that every human being has an innate need to be loved and accepted. It's where most struggle the hardest. And it's also where most grieve the deepest. A true relationship is (IMO) two imperfect people refusing to give up on each other. A touching expression. Peace.... r

This text holds more soft and fragile feelings than your usual objective statements. Beautiful.
