Oneness
When oneness is but one,
The planet seems overwhelming.
To be at one
With all there is,
To know you are
A part of the one,
Gives a feeling of life.
Such a vastness of hope,
This speck called earth,
Yet…
The vibration of connection,
That knowing you are somehow
A significant part of the world’s whole,
Is such a roar of silence,
A musing for the impossible
Made real by the gentle muting
Of the aura,
That indescribable
Undulation of aliveness
That becomes so precious
In one’s distant memory,
That for the moment
Oneness has become
But one
Becoming a nothingness.
Such is the loneliness
Of the survivalist’s pause,
The hesitancy to reach out again,
To regurgitate the bile,
The painful compromises
That have left one as part beingness
of nothing.
Oh…
For the privilege of being
At one with all again.
Just once more.
