Sharpening One’s Etherealization
How Timid the Blade's Thrust.
From where does the storm's grip begin?
Does lightning need the thunder?
Does passion need boredom's consent?
Or
Is passion inherent in breathing,
Even for those who would spend their lives suffocated
By their own unwillingness to truly breathe?
Might the newborn sense such complacency,
This breathing of one's conditioned breath,
Unable to define one's own place,
Shackled by other grown-ups' lexiconic understanding
Open-ended descriptions kept isolated?
But know,
Feel,
Anticipate
Your personal flesh and suckling needs
Might be ignored.
Growing up will be a bitch!
Then acquiescence will take over.
Who wants it to grow up anyway?
Better to be kept like a society of ignorant parents
Controlled,
Led,
Kept in stalls of mediocrity,
Risking no loss,
No gain,
No disappointment.
But…
Someday you will ask,
Is that all there is?
And if you're lucky,
There will be a light.
The searing heat of the unknown,
The eruption,
The liquid seduction of pure rain,
The feel of moist warmth beneath your limbs
As you lay upon the earth to reflect.
Answers to the unanswerable
Begin to seep upward,
Revealing direction still available.
Will you be willing to listen?
To see?
To sleep with unfamiliar sunrises?
Ah
The deep breath.
The sharpening of one's etherealization.
Nirvana.
When I was 7 and had a little run-in with the police over a fire from our gangs' cigarette butt lighting, I started to make decisions for myself regardless of what those around me wanted. And when I was 16, walking home one below zero night watching the stars and a very colorful display of aurora borealis, I realized that I was just a tiny drop in the ocean of humanity but as important as any of the other drops on this earth. Making my way with no excuses and no looking back, but always moving forward, especially in my thinking processes. Not stuffing my head with facts, dogma or endless routines, but staying open to new ideas if they were proven or about to be proven, scientifically.
Finally, my ecstasy is writing every day with all my heart both my fiction and to many others who are reading what I write. Some liking and some not, but making my way in the world my way and not theirs. Just like you. Double Bravo for saying it like it is!

By their own unwillingness to truly breathe?"......... To them, I would say, "Live, love, laugh, and cast all care to the wind!"!!!! You offer wise advice as well, such as this verse: "But know,
Feel,
Anticipate
Your personal flesh and suckling needs
Might be ignored."
There you have it!!! Bravo!!!
Love ya!
