Be there, or be square. Sorry, but I hadn't heard that one in about 50 years. I'm not the risk-taker I once was, even though I rarely won in a risk-taking venture that involved love or money. But I have bragging rights.

You said it with, "No risk, no reward." As one who always took a calculated risk, the rewards were far greater than I ever expected.

I'm trying to get my partner out of her constant need for stability and security. Every time I've put her at risk, she has enjoyed it so much that she even wants to do it again… But without me because I am a lot of baggage to drag along.

Really like this one. Very helpful for those who are afraid to do anything. Bad news all around them that is only about 1% of what life really is. Pure joy if you go out and live it.

I couldn't agree with you more, Odin. So few people actually are willing these days to take risks and our entire life projection coming from our surroundings does not encourage a person to take risks, instead to find ways to bask in the realm of mediocracy. Stay in the job that you hate, make no attempt to follow a particular dream, go on a journey or just lead yourself into the unknown. Without risk, there is very little we can achieve.
