To Heal

Wounds of all types require healing regardless of the inherent scarring.

Poem Artwork

 To Heal

Once…

We were like two notes clashing

In an absent melodious connection,

A search to find harmony.

Yesterday…

Revealed love once a gentle breeze,

Gathering a stormy presence,

Making threadbare the seams joining us.

Last night…

Nocturnal curtains were pulled apart,

Eyes met but did not see,

Transparent hands touched

But did not feel,

Darkness revealed further drifting through and out of chaos.

Today…

Moisture clouds vision,

Yet, in discord,

There is a rare beauty,

A raw wound of truth

Slowly mending

A scar of dissonant love,

A vibration of imperfection

Maintaining its determination to heal.

A really interesting and optimistic poem about what it takes to heal.....

DETERMINATION. I love your poem.

I don't know how to describe how beautiful this bit of prosetry is. The truth of it drifts in throughout the chaos of a relationship. Bravo!

I can relate to this. The will to find a way back to 'seeing', 'feeling' and even 'hearing' again is strong as long as the love used to be strong. What hides in the scars within is not something to be taken out on a loved one who never caused a single one of those scars. (speaking of my internal battle now)
I clearly needed to read this today. Thank you!
