Poem Artwork

 The Labyrinth of Illusion

In the digital twilight, where shadowy intimations dance,

undercurrents of the supernatural merge with the hum of screens,

a ghostly hand scrolls through the endless feed

where truth and fiction blur,

 indistinguishable.

Phantoms of misinformation drift,

their ghostly forms reshaping reality,

a viral apparition, haunting timelines,

spreading fear,

doubt,

 and wonder.

Witches weave their spells in comment threads,

casting hexes of half-truths and lies,

while prophets of the digital age

proclaim visions in pixelated clarity.

The supernatural and the cybernetic

entwine in a choreography of deception,

a séance of screens where spirits speak

through memes and manipulated images.

In this realm,

where the unreal feels tangible,

and the tangible fades into myth,

we navigate the labyrinth of illusion,

seeking the light of truth in the spectral glow.

The labyrinth of illusions is complex indeed, as you have so well delineated here. We lived in a world supernatural and now cybernetic, a word used that is now for me but so appropriate. How to separate the truth from the illusion when the illusion is so tempting. Well penned and timely.

This is sterling. Describing very accurately the digital jungle that most of us face when we try to do something on the Internet and find that there are constant charlatans out there that would just love to do business with us as long as he is once.

So many of the elderly are starting to drift into those netherlands where they are beseeched by all forms of entreaty generally leading them into poverty over failed promises with no contract go to.
