Nothingness

There are times when the truly conscience living look around and accept how small and insignificant we can be… or not, gender friendly. Image by Odin AI)

Poem Artwork

Nothingness

Nothingness

Becomes

Everything’s

Nothing

Stars fall from the being

Whispers of forgotten light—
Night becomes its name.

Until whispers of dawning morning

Slips through cracks.

Time folds in a breath of light,
Yesterday dissolves.

Today…

A clock Without Hands
Moments drift like ash,
No tick marks to hold the now.

Stillness wears the hours.

Memory’s Thread
As old echoes return,
Woven into present steps.

Time walks in circles.

Future’s Mirage
Tomorrow leans in,
A shadow not yet spoken.

Hope dressed in silence.

 Eternal Pause
Time forgets to move,
Stars blink in suspended thought.

Forever begins.

All this something we are living so fervently is really nothingness in the overall scheme of things. As you so adroitly have shown in this poem.

I'm not sure what you meant by the gender reference in the intro but it may have been the image.

There is a Zen-like quality to this poem in which everything can be found in nothing, in other words, depth in simplicity.. Nothing gets away with anything grand, even time is fragile and limited: "Time folds in a breath of light!!" Even the nothingness of outer space is punctuated by stars, blinking, falling. The emptiness invoked resonates the fulness of breath in this simple, brief poem.
