Another attempt at romance

 

The Rose

Wilted it lays on the table
Beckoning back at me
With a time of long ago

It’s wrinkled red lips
Slowly turning upward
And failing to continue to charm me

Oh the rose my love
Such a beautiful creation
One which empowers man

Now it lays before us
So tired
So lost

My dear the rose with all its beauty
My dear the rose once almighty
My dear the rose is now gone

Valentine's day coming up. Lot of roses given to lovers. My love did Aug 17 07 and I don't expect roses no more. He always gave me yellow roses my favorite on that day. Now I have the artificial ones he left with me to put in a vase on the table for decors for that day. Love still abounds in some way. May you find love eventually too in your young life.
