A Soft Surrender

It has been a long time since these lips

have kissed another in love for I have not

believed there was such a thing as love.

Not for me. Not in this world.





There was no bridge for me to cross

into a land where I could be loved

and love in return. There was a chasm

Only a steep drop into darkness and now

I can see that bridge that you have sent me.

To save me.





A kiss is a soft surrender of self

And would open many avenues of self.

For to kiss and mean that kiss brings closeness

That can be felt by both.




In doing this there is

No oneness but a joining of heart and mind

to the others feelings and drawing on his love

to fulfill your desires.
