Humbled
Sagebrush and tumbleweeds;
Cockleburrs and sand-
Clear mountain mornings;
as far as the eye could span
Eagles search the desert floor;
wing tips shadow the sky-
Majestic is his presence;
an honor to watch him fly
Snowcaps tip to Mother Nature;
a gentleman's gesture, polite-
Gray-haired and wisdom rich;
it's quite the humbling sight
Cacti armies salute their chief;
a searing breath of fire-
Guarding what some only fear;
but what others openly admire
Oil painted blooms on canvas grow;
sleek lizards and horned toads rest-
'Neath umbrellas round and full;
like cowboys of the 'ol West
Dry breezes lasso centuries past;
heat waves in the distance, rise-
Beating drums; Be still my heart;
yesteryear's memory cries
A natural oasis of colors and life;
takes shelter in the dark of night-
As the million eyes of heaven watch;
that too, is a humbling sight

Very inspired poem. With such peaceful word pictures.
Medative laments, in this vexing world.
Take care,
