Kindred in the World of His and Hers

Follow along the thin bone of my jaw;
with the same fingertip that discovered my soul-
Oh I can feel your lips; Feel your breath upon my neck,
Did I ever tell you?
Did I tell you, that when I am with you,
I feel complete; Completely whole?

With no other; Not in this world is there another,
that allows me to calibrate my own heartbeat-
Experience the sound of morning; Each and every one,
as though I had been birthed, within the juices of innocence,
just as night fell on the previous evening’s horizon-
As though I’d opened my eyes for the first time, and there;
There you were, swirling carefree in the coral misty air

It was a tiring, and trying journey, but today,
today I have found peace. Peace at last-
Oh the search; The seemingly endless search, for
the spirit in which I yearned for; Needed ever so badly-
Never did I rest- In sleep, or in alertness-
In the warm light of day; or the bleak deep darkness of night-
This trek I’ve accomplished; Accompanied by freedom;
Like a raven in highest flight

Today; Today I’ll rest; Oh I surely will-
Here I’ll stay surrounded by and in the essence of nature-
Human and animal kind alike- but all in the spirit;
Kindred, as in the world of his and hers

Lisa you have given us a picture of love wrapped in the beauty it deserves. A wonderful poem of spiritual freedom.

Oh! What a glorious love you have penned for us, Lisa. I felt rather like the kid outside the candy store, peering longingly through the window, two pennies short of being able to go inside and buy her favorite treat. Who wouldn't give all that they had for a love such as this; a true love that vibrates from within the marrow of our bones and scents the air with lavender and roses. I hope that this is autobiographical and that this sweetness dwells within the core of your existence. Wonderful writing as always, Lisa. This one wraps us up and gently rocks our soul.
Take care,
Sherry
