The Alcove
The wild flowers in a pine forest
The cool waters of a virgin spring
The filtering rays of the afternoon sun
Cast a shadow of colors
Flirting with her, in a sprightly dance.
The Alcove of Nature, as I remember
A waterfall, running stream
She led me like a pied piper
Through the music of pine forest
At the confluence, of the blue sky, of wild flowers
And warm rays of the sun
A hint of distant crowds
And her warm breath, on my quivering lips.
Now, a vacant look, in my watery eyes
It is not madness
Remembrance of a dream, of the Alcove
In the pine forest, by a waterfall
And a running stream.
