There are times when we all wonder if Jesus is with us.We don't feel his presence. This poem explores why this might be happening and offers hope.

My soul yearns for you

My soul asks

Have you left me forever?

Will I ever feel your presence again?

I long to immerse myself in your love

I long to know you are with me and hear my voice

How long with this darkness last?

How long will I keep living in the dark and

wondering where you are?

But then my soul and heart remembers

to grow in faith I must empty myself

of old ideas , which were holy and sacred

They were essential at the time and I would not have

gotten this far with out them

But now, there are new experiences and wisdom to be learned

There are new beliefs and growth to be explored

So, come Holy darkness

I welcome you ,even though my heart aches with

the growing pains.

As a woman waits for new birth

I wait with expectaion and wonder

at what a wonderful path will be open to me

when it is time.

A beautifully written poem. Sometimes God seems to leave us for a while, but I believe there is reason that we cannot understand. He's always there.
