Wisdom of the Trees

This is a poem about what the trees have taught me.

I see the baren trees

and let them teach me wisdom

They seem so naked with out

the leaves to add color and life

Yes as I look closer I see

they  have their own beauty

The shapes of the branches

have such interesting

shapes and grace

As I reflect, I realize

the trees in winter are

somewhat like us

When we take off

all the images we want to

show others and all the

things we try and hide

about ourselves, we become

like the tree

Somwhat baren , yet beautiful

in our emtiness and openess

After we admit our weakness

to ourselves, but with love

And after we look at who we really are

Which isn't such a bad thing

We find we are a beloved child of God

with weaknesses, that God

y knows our weaknesses, but loves us ,

weaknesses and all

He knows we are not perfect

So-  like the tree,

after being baren and

opening ourselves to the truth

 in the spring we can

be as beautfiul on the outside

as the inside, and show all

the beautiful colors and

beauty that we are

A very touching and wise write, it's great what we can learn from nature if we only take the time to stop and absorb the beauty, and the silent lessons that sometimes speak very loud and clear to our heart...the still small voice of the Lord reaches us in numerous ways! I think the simple life is the best, easiest to live, fewer complications, less baggage and weights. A wonderful and prophetic message within these lines my friend! Well done indeed!

Good words of wisdom, Cindy!!! No matter who we are, there's always some goodness within ourselves. All we have to do is to find these goodness and utilize them. Good write!!!
