This is a poem (prayer) that reflects on the world and personal prayer.
Jesus, my prayer tonight is for our world I know that covers alot but maybe we can try to see each other as partneers on this journey of life you have given us Even people who may have different beliefs or from different cultures You created us all I pray that someday we will have no wars Oh, I know that seems totally unrealistic, and maybe it is, but I can't help but have this idealism that it is possible Even if for just one day I pray that we don't forget people who live in poverty May we not only be people of hope but help others experience hope that their life can be better And if I may I would like to add a small request from me May I never forget who created me May I never forget the only reason I am alive is to spread your love and joy to all I meet Oh, I have my weaknesses as you know But may that not stop me from doing your will Amen

God created each of us for a purpose. Knowing of our holy creation is even more reason to set our sights high, never acknowledging that perhaps we strive for too much or that our desires are overly idealistic. Surely Christ never gave thought that His purpose on earth was perhaps too ambitious or too idealistic.

So even as we pray for God's support of individuals--including ourselves--so too is it fitting that we pray for our entire world, for even as we are but one small voice among billions, equally is it true that God hears every voice.

Keep writing and praying, my dear Cindy.
