Just a simple little prayer
Just a little verse to send you off to sleep The Lord is with you and your heart is His to keep The compassion which he always shows Is like the gentle wind that softly blows It refreshes and lets us know How we are to live and the way in which to go He whispers the words of eternal life It helps us handle fear and strife So as we fall asleep tonight Remember the one who gives us holy sight Amen

Beautiful nightime prayer, Cindy. Just change one word: strive to strife.

He whispers the words of eternal life
It helps us handle fear and strife;
So as we fall asleep tonight
Remember the one who
gives us holy sight.
