Life can be cruel

Sadness can sweep over us

like a dark thick fog

You may feel you will never see

the light of compassion and hope again

But then in the distance there is 

a small light you can barely see

This light seems to urge you on

You don't know why

but you have to go towards the light

It is the strongest pull you have ever felt

You HAVE to go to the light

You can't see through the fog

except for the light far off

You take each step

You have no idea how far it is

As you get closer you feel the light's warmth

You are drawn more and more to its hope

You have no idea why you are drawn

to the light or what you will find when you get there

Now you can see the brightness

You are almost there

But then the most amazing thing happens

The light comes to you

As it comes closer you feel

such a peace

You aren't alone anymore

The sadness has disappeared

Now the light is right in front of you

You hear a compassonate voice

"I am the light of the world"

I am the light of hope and love

My light is eternal

Do you want to live in my wondrous light?

Your life will never be the same

I give the light because of the cross

you must bare

My light will help you

Do you want to walk in this light?

I ask much but give much in return

You listen to your heart and soul

Yes! Jesus! Yes!!

The light enters you

You feel loved

You feel courage

You feel emotions

we have yet to find words for

Walk in my light my child

As you sleep my light

will warm your heart

You will have a new heart

Sleep my child

You have much to do tomorrow

My light will shine through you
