Sacredness of Nature

From my book

I gaze at the
wonder of creation
and become one
with the ocean, trees
 sea gulls as the
fly in the freedom of love
I feel the mist of the wave
and it refreshes my soul
I touch the sand as if
we are in prayer
Even if I am not
physically there
my mind visits the
ocean often and
I start the day with
serenity and calm

What does this poem mean to you?

One of my favorite meditations is becoming one with nature. Have you ever sat silently in your favorite calming place and felt as if you and creation were untied. Feeling part of something much larger than yourself.
I have had that experience many times. It seems as if all the problems and stress had were minimal compared to the circle of life. It was as if there was no time or place only me and creation and our creator.
We don’t have to go on a vacation to experience this in a lesser degree. If we walk during the day and are mindful of the bright colors of the flowers or the shape of a tree. Maybe we see a humming bird or a squirrel. These are glimpses of the sacredness of creation and for a brief moment we can feel the holiness and serenity of the small miracles we have witnessed.
Of course there are those incredible moments like a sunrise or sunset that take our breathe away. When was the last time we focused on the sunrise? When was the last time we welcomed a new day with creation? If you are like me sometimes I forget- but today let’s say hello to the new day with the sun, birds, and all creation!

What does this reflection say to you?
Thought for today:

Today I will welcome the day with all creation!
At the end of your day turn the page and read the closing poem.
I will dance with the sun and the moon this day!

Our faith is
like the rose
A seed of faith
is planted when we are born
When it is nutured
it slowly begins to grow
Then after much watering
and care a bud appears
It's almost ready
to blossom
The day finally arrives!
The most beautiful flower emgerges!
But then there are
also thorns which can be painful
The storms come and it needs
to srip away the outer layer to reflect on who they are

After many months of reflection and prayer
the sun makes it's appearance and again the rose begins to grow
Each season the cycle is the same
yet the rose becomes stronger and matures
Yes, the rose can teach us much
Isn't our faith much the same?

After many months of reflection and prayer
the sun makes it's appearance and again the rose begins to grow
Each season the cycle is the same
yet the rose becomes stronger and mature
Yes, the rose can teach us much
Isn't our faith much the same?

What does this poem mean to you?

All creation is sacred!
Today I danced with nature!

This is a reflection and poem worth reading at least twice. What I refected on was that no two roses are the same and neither are two sunsets. We must understand God did not make a boring world, we just need to take time to really look, meditate, discover and wonder. This world is full of color, mystery, diversity in nature and an awesome bountiful of beauty that gets even more beautiful when we take time to take a closer look. Thank you Cindy for being you.

Love & Blessings

Sorry I didn't have time to read the reflection but the poem is beautiful.
God bless,
