                    IN THE PLAYHOUSE OF MY MIND

                    I'm hiding in the playhouse of my mind.
                    I seek to lose my worries, to take flight.
                    And there I will escape all humankind.

                   The thoughts upon my furrowed brow aligned
                    Are naughty, nasty, pure as ol' Snow White
                    I'm hiding in the playhouse of my mind.

                   The world can seek me, but it will not find.
                    Ideas vague become at once forthright
                    And there I will escape all humankind.

                    Emotions surface. I'm no longer blind.
                    I bravely face them, setting them aright.
                    I'm hiding in the playhouse of my mind.

                    In adult space I am no more confined.
                    The child within steps forth to solve my plight.
                    And there I will escape all humankind.

                   The images engraved give peace of mind
                   Ballooning, lifting me in sheer delight.
                   I'm hiding in the playhouse of my mind
                   And there I will escape all humankind.
