A fairy tale...
True love, never wrong.
But we walked away from
Each other's arms,
That's how it goes -
A million tears cried.
We closed the door.
We stopped the writing in the book.
Now the book is incomplete,
Or even maybe too fulfilled
This life sometimes decides for us,
Before we know it,
Before we know how to deal with it.
The sun wasn't bright enough,
The sky wasn't as blue,
Stars weren't ours,
Everything stopped for us.
The magic world never existed,
You never were true ly mine.
After all the book is now closed,
Locked tightly... without a lock,
My thoughts are gone...

Well done, though sad. I especially like the last verse.
Love is universal and not limited to the most perfect among us. In this collection of romantic short stories and poetry, love comes to those who are decidedly imperfect, who possess very real human flaws, scars, and challenges. Awaiting us as we are.
