Closing my eyes I can smell the similar smells Of the familiar streets Closing my eyes I can hear the familiar sound of the dear trees Closing my eyes I can see the clear blue sky I can see the beauty of nature Closing my eyes I simply see my home. My, my own place where I grew up I miss the streets I miss the noise I miss all the smells that Tell me I'm home Closing my eyes, As tear falls down my Sad and missing face... I miss home so much I need to get away I need to go there Just to walk down MY streets Just to see the beauty of it all It feels like I'm so far away It's so different around me That I cannot begin To explain what it is I feel Home sweet home Is a definite phrase I believe For home for me means At the moment everything...

Tonya, even though my home town is not beautiful like the home town pictured above, I still long to return to visit it and stay a while and renew some old acquaintances. It is a feeling of nostaglia that sometimes overwhelms me. Very good and sentimentlal poem. Bill
