Can a fact ever REALLY be proven? There is never a certainty, only a majority of opinion. If every mind agreed on one opinion, it is still not a fact. Do you agree? If a fact can never be proven, than is the fact that a fact can never be proven a proven fact? Is it a fact that I stand on the ground? Or sit in a chair? Is it a fact that there is substance, or is substance a majority of opinon as well. What about the minority? Are they giving facts that we all ignore? Are their facts worthy of majority? Do the minorities believe in substance? If their is no substance, there is no you, me. Are facts just information drilled in our heads? When somebody says that the sky is blue, is it blue just because they said? When you didn't know the sky was blue, it might have been green. If the whole world told you the sky was green, would you view it as green?
I'm sorry for rambling, last night I was thinking of this, it kind of weirds me out.

I agree, I think that we are told things and put words to something that can't really even be expressed by a poet. Good write, and that's a fact... :P

Good one, Kaci. The world is just what we experience. My experience may be different from yours or anyone else's. When we commmunicate through poetry, we can only hope that someone else shares our experience.
