This poem/prayer was written while sitting in my car in the DMV parking lot during a very busy day. Perhaps you can relate to those stolen moments spent with God. Those brief moments that help you regain focus. Rejoice in knowing that God honors even the smallest moments we share with Him.

A Prayer for the Moment

I have only this moment to spend with you. I want more but I must take advantage of whatever opportunity you give me. It takes extreme effort to recognize the balance I need between the responsibilities you have given me and the burdens I place on myself. I thought it would be easier. My heart is right, I know it is. I think of you always, I think of how you watch me, how you wait for me, how you love me. I think of your hand reaching through eternity to touch me. You’re always on my mind and in my heart. The struggle comes when I can’t find the proper balance. I live in this world, you placed me here but I’m not of this world. I can forget so easily. I’ve been wondering why you have not given me more than moments lately. Maybe it’s because life is made up of moments and we must enjoy them one moment at a time. Your word say’s, that if we are faithful with little, then you will give us much. Teach me how to be faithful with the moments you give me. If I can leave any heritage behind it would be to trust you every day, one day at a time, one moment at a time. If we could only grasp that, if I could only grasp that, then the struggles would seem far and few between. Thank you for this moment to be with you. Help me to recognize the next moment when it comes and not question it before it arrives but enjoy it once it is here.

wonderfully done. I try to remember to start and end my days with prayer if not more often. There have been times that I felt the urge to just stop and prayer, for the moment...

What a wonderful reminder to embrace those few moments we are offered and that we must be still and connect. This is beautiful. Thank you.

Monica, thank you for sharing your quiet moments with the Father.
"The struggle comes when I can’t find the proper balance. I live in this world, you placed me here but I’m not of this world" this is profoundly true! Blessing and continued enlightenment through the word.

In these last days, God is calling His people out. May we all be still enough to hear His voice. I surely do enjoy your writings for the Lord. In the quietness of the moments that we spend with God, His Presence is there. Your friend in Christ Love, Valerie M Boggess

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
