The American Flag
Words are spoken but not understood,
Struggling to find approved communication to seek confirmation,
to be educated in this
Red, white, blue, fifty star nation.
Leaving behind a volt secured by nouns, verbs, and adjectives
locked in an acute parallel
information processing system of the brain that remains
Soundless, dumbfounded, violated and ashamed.
Afraid to make a decision or give an opinion… my mind takes me to
a place of
Possibility, probability with lack of security.
Seems as if my soul decayed, disappeared with out a trace of who
I am in this world today.
Why did you choose this occupation if you didn’t have time to
demonstrate how
you earn your degree to educate a Ghetto child like me.
I deserve to be educated in this
Red, white, blue, fifty star one nation
under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all...
