If ever I cease to look upon...

Poem Artwork

TO SURVIVE TIME

copyright 1975 Bonita M Quesinberry, R.C.

If ever I cease to look upon a rose in bloom,
or bathe in the shimmering glow of a full moon,
then surely I have ceased to live
and failed to see what God can give.

Of all the infinite wisdom of man, none can
succeed our King,
nor match all the gifts of love in beauty He brings.
For surely love, goodness and beauty can survive time
as none other, and in sharing, bring fulfillment sublime.

Goodness, this has survived the test of time (1970 something) Wow! Still a great message.

(((bonita)))

it's the simple things all around us we fail to enjoy--a most beautiful poem, with a profound lesson to "stop and smell the roses," and give HIM credit for creating them!

(((HUGS))) and love,

karla. :)
