We all have our own special thoughts about money - wanting it, losing it, having it - and I just wanted to share this poem I wrote, "Money." (Most of my poems were written as a child/teen, over the years, I've edited/updated and uploaded onto AuthorsDen.)
Money
Why is it I have an itch
To want to be oh so rich
How nice it would be to make my own money
But come to think of it, I’d rather be funny
It’s been said the best things in life are free
For some strange reason I disagree
Money may not be everything
But it sure can buy me a diamond ring
May not stop a ship about to sink
But could surely buy me a luxurious coat of mink
Money won’t be able to turn sour to sweet
But at least I’ll be able to buy all the Double-stuff-Oreo-cookies that I could eat
When I see rich people I’m so impressed
With their fancy cars and the way they’re dressed
Makes me feel that money can solve my passion
And buy me clothes of the highest fashion
As I stand on this beautiful free grass
I realize that money can’t even buy class
No matter how much you can buy with money
Money can’t make a rainy day sunny
Some people say their money’s never enough
But all the money in the world can’t buy happiness and love
I am what I am, you are what you are
Do I like you less depending on your car?
It would be terrible if I called you my honey
Only because you have lots of money
Wouldn’t that be sad, wouldn’t I be trash
If I judged by the sum of ones cash
Gloria, this is so true, sad, and funny all at the same time. Money does not buy happiness, but I do agree

I wouldn't say anything about printing my own money, big brother may be reading this.(lol)I love the flow and the rhyme. Very easy to read and yes all the cash in the world can't buy love and happiness.
