The Arc of History Come, stand a little taller Above the misty dawn The dust has settled The guns are silent This lull will soon be gone. � Come, see a little farther While clouds are also parted Before you lies Another challenge Your path remains uncharted. � Come, breathe a little deeper Refill your vital needs Refresh your bodies Remind your souls Review your plans and deeds. � Your resting time is over Now you must start anew You�ve come so far You�ve stayed the course And�fate must have�its due. � Somewhere beyond the distant shore A long trek still remains The arc of history Bends toward justice And frees you from your chains. � � � �
