Darkness/Hope (I believe...?)

Believe? I need to. How? How else can I survive? Madness undoes one. Still, I am... alive. Alive yet one doubts all within and without. Still such doubt (much doubt) -- yet I must know. What? "God?" What God?! Whose? Yours? Where? mine? How? (On this planet) -- How does "God" survive all the madness "We" watch? We watch and see terror- filled eyes. Bullets and bombs blasting schoolyards to hell (next door) -- and so... And so? I must believe. What? In living? Afraid? Or blind? Blindly, I will grasp at ideals. Unreal, "Ideals", so all that is left is a gasp? -- grasping for breath, exhaling, "God! Please, God!" Please, God? May I know you? Whoever, Whatever you are. Are you? At all? I need to hope. To hope? Hope is my Straw. I live clutching to such cliched ideals as I suck in what's real. What's real? Only what I feel-- feel now as I am fleeing, flying, reeling, sighing toward hope. ~~~~~~ yet another "Writing SLam" poem...topic: "What I believe"

Nice flow of thoughts. Very good. There's something that Theresa Jodray wrote: "the point where hope ends is where faith begins". It made a lot of sense for me. Hope is wishing for thing to go our way, faith is putting your trust in something higher.
