You took our feelings and brought them out.
Gave us words to pounder about.
You gave our hearts a voice to bring to life...
and gave us music to make our souls bright.
Now you have left us and our grief will begin.
Some cry and some silent, missing our friend.
But, from inside the youth of this place...
you will shine from within our hearts with grace.
From every note that we play and songs we sing...
our faces will smile knowing you are with our king.
You will shine from within as we gather and pray.
We are better for knowing you each of those days.
Yes, we will be sad and miss you our friend...
but we feel better know you shine from within.

I received a call today from my 17 yr old, crying. At his youth church group they just saw their youth leader die before them of a heart attack. After doing the parents job of trying to answer the questions as to why, I wrote this in hopes it would help him cope.
These are simple words from a father to his son, and I care not if it rates a 1 or a 10. Maybe one of you will need these words at some time or another.
In "A Touch of Your Presence" are words that would inspire, encourage and strengthen one's soul when faced with challenges and difficulties and to know the awesomeness of God's power.
