A Different Shade of Blue

By no fault of my own

I’m all alone

Crying Weeping at what I lost

Left all alone at what cost

To begin again

To cry no more

To look forward

To what God has in store

Yes I’m blue because of the past

I’m blue because the promise didn’t last

I’m blue because my heart now aches

A reminder of what love takes

I’m getting stronger a little over time

But the wonder of my future clouds my mind

What have I done to feel this way?

When will this pain go away?

I’m blue. I’m blue but a different shade

Cause I know soon these feelings will fade

And I’ll journey forward without a doubt

That God needed to bring me out

Cause he knew he had a better plan

He knew I was depending too much on man

He knew he had a better way

He knew I’d appreciate a better day

Yes, it hurts down to the bone

But God never left me alone

For while I was going through

He showed me a different shade of blue

He shows me green pastures and sunny skies

And wiped the tears of pain from my eyes

Cause love that lies is never true

So he gave me my own version of blue

A shade that tells me it’s not the end

And reminds me whose my one true friend

Though doubts and fears may arise

God had to open my eyes

Truly excellent Stephanie. With God's word closely in view. remember what He has told you. He'll never leave you and more precious than man by himself can understand. What a wonderful shade of blue; God has the perfect touch to bless you.

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .

My son wrote a book of his personal, one liner quotes. Never underestimate the power of simple statements! A very interesting read!
