What Jesus did for me

Have you ever cried? Well let every tear be a reminder of what Jesus has done for you.

One day I stood upon the street and cried.

Not because I was depressed or someone had died

Not because I was broke and had no food

Not because I was angry or in a bad mood

Not because all my hope was gone

And not because I felt all alone

No I cried back on that faithful day

Because I realized my sins had been washed away

And the savior who had died for me

Had given his life to set me free

I cried because I was no longer lost

Because my shameful sin was left at the cross

Yes I cried upon the street that day

Knowing old things had passed away

And the puddle I made from the tears I shed

Reminded me the Savior’s not dead

So with every puddle that I now see

I’m reminded of all Jesus did for me

This is lovely Stephanie, and though the tears look more like a pool, a bottle of remembrance of each tear, God's save, because of you. Each of us has our own bottle; the tears we'd shed throughout time. He must think they are also precious, to keep throughtout time. It's like a sentimental Father watching his child grow. He wants to keep everything about you. That's how much He love you!
Isn't It Grand!

Stephanie, what a wonderful way to look at the blessings that the Lord gives us. A very creative poem, comparing your puddle of tears to the reflection of the goodness you have known. I love the comparison! Great piece!!!

Thanks,

Jill
