How swiftly the glorious summer,
withers in icy winds,
dying a slow and tedious death,
refusing it's own demise.
Hearing rumblings of spring,
long past, and swept away,
in a dusty heap of leaves,
now, scattered in the dust.
No reprieve for losing,
only a choir of discontent,
sighing an eternal lament,
as so many fade away.
and too a stilling of a haunting embrace
I really love your intro stanza as it sets
an amazing mood!!
