Darkness falls on the Meadow,
flowers fade into gray.
Warm skies turn cold and empty,
as sunlight abandons this day.
Stars fall from the heavens,
no longer fiery and bright.
Instead they spiral to desolation,
in one long and endless night.
Hope is now a scepter,
that haunts without a sound,
as dreams so full of promise,
have vanished from this ground.
