The night holds many wonders, and I enjoy all of them
Night Thoughts
The wind rustles through the leaves of the palm tree
And the moon lights the night
As I set rocking silently
And my soul takes flight
It opens itself to the wonders above
And drinks in the beauty of each star
Examples of the Creator’s love
They’re worlds man cannot mar
With his terror and greed
Or his cruelty and war
They always breed
Full of blood and gore
When this world has ended
And all of humanity has perished
The earth by the Creator will be mended
And given to a new humanity that knows she should be cherished.
