Totem Fantasy

In a wolf pack there can be only one breeding female and one breeding male. This is a ODE (praise poem) to the mother of the pack.

Totem Fantasy

　

 

I look across the room

 

To my totem wall

Her face stares back

Clarity of features

She is life

Deity proscribe by her nature

Instincts bred into her genes

For a thousand generations

For her

There is only family

They are her strength

Her weakness

Their needs are her needs

Her responsibility

Her joy

She cuddles them

Teaches them

Leads them

Someday a younger and stronger provider

Will challenge her

Replace her

But for now she is mother

She wolf

Alpha Female.

This is a wonderful tribute to a family oriented animal, that can be a friend or a foe. The spirit of the wolf rides in many hearts and many souls, and like them we have the spirit of family. Thank you for sharing Bobbi.
