Roger, a deeply dark but moving poem...She deserves a chance to be a "good" mother. I feel that she is doing a good job with the baby, and nothing else said children are blessings and deserve the maternal influence with them no matter what...I love the way you wrote this, it tells all..
I'm sad . . . and a little frightened by the mixture of tender beauty and unearthly aversion. The question is whether this vision was a passing one that has haunted you for years (the kid is walking by now) or someone near and dear to you (and you know for sure the kid is walking by now) and I will have put my foot in my mouth.
