The broken ravaged planet

The broken ravaged planet
hurt through war and greed
despite her own devotion
to nurture and to feed

she needs gentle assistance
a fact that man has missed
as so brutally he beats her
like a savage with his fist

this planet full of creatures
all linked into a chain
that serves the eco system
and keeps all life maintained

mankind should be
part of that chain
they need to find their place
intelligently self aware a purpose to embrace

yet man with violent wisdom
seeks only to control
blind to all the damage done
as he plunders for that goal

what next mankind when finally
you reach that selfish goal
having torn apart this planet
and destroyed its very soul

The universe is vast it's big
and you are very small
do you think that you are
strong enough to control it all?

You are blind to what your purpose is
use your intelligence and think
you really need to find your place
your function in the link

then finally the mysteries
the wonders of it all
will fall in place around you
as you redeem your soul
