If not quite,
Is it like a kite
Soaring high
Dipping low?
How high is the sky
How low can you go?
What a mess
Life can be
For you...for me
When not pondering why
Do you sometimes dread
The crazy thoughts that
jump around in your head?
Might as well just
Stay in bed.
Close the shutters
On your brain
Or perhaps hop on a runaway train
Would it do any good to flee
How far could I get from me?
Not far enough I fear,
So why run from all I hold dear?
Women before me have made it
through.
I can too!

One of my favorite authors.. lamented the fact, that where ever he had tried to escape from , he always had to take himself along on the journey. You echoed his thoughts,( and mine as well) into a more poetic form: and I liked your rhyming thoughts on that subject... You will never get far from yourself. That is life !
