Strolling hand and hand through the fragrant garden of our minds, and when its time to part, we pray for rain to hide our tears; yes, leaving, just tears and rain...
Why does life seem to present so many possibilities at times when we think that we already have what we really wanted in life...
Oh how I wish it had been a different time; a time when I was searching for that something different, that would have fulfilled a need... but not now, not when I have so much to lose and an unknown to gain.
I think we all come to crossroads in life, when we are presented with the option to stay or stray from our paths... and I have toyed with this one on my mind unusually longer than I should have.
Our souls travel through space and time searching for its perfect mate, the one that clicks in an instant; not the one that takes a little effort to become aquainted with at the beginning; but that all those struggles have brought you closer to being a perfect match... loving one with what one thought was all of their heart and then from out of left field that one that clicks in an instant, suddenly appears in your path. I cannot stray from my path; I cannot grab what is offered and hold it close, complete that which might make me whole, because then another part of me would still be missing...
I would rather keep the mystery of the unknown, unknown; and keep it there in my mind, enjoying the mindplay, the conversations that inspire me to write and simply just enjoy the now. If only you had come along while I was still searching... Are you the one?
Oh how I wish I could surrender my soul; walk through the doors of my mind; shed this mask that has become my skin...
I guess I'll never know, because its to late; to late to undo what life has done. My path has been laid in stone and my will is strong enough not to veer from that path, so please forgive me and take all that I have to offer and that is a mind-love; a love of the mind can be stronger than a physical love; it can be there even when the body cannot. Isn't that what it was meant to be, a meeting of the minds and not the hearts, as we stroll through the fragrant gardens praying for the rain that will hide our tears as we part... yes, simply tears and rain.
How could this not remind one of poetry?when that's what is clearly is! I would have spaced the article oput a little. because its so good and seems to end suddenly, You could tease the readers a little spacing it?
But I loved the whole peice. even without spacing!!
I might prefer if I could not relate to this so well.

Only when I was less awake did I even come close to making a mistake, but it was close. I'm sure to get enough sleep now.
This also reminds me of poetry itself. I go a little ways down a path...tiny bit...tiny bit...just enough to grab the poem and run back out and slam the door. "Got it!"
But- Oh...what if I packed my bags and just went down that path??? The door slams behind me and I can't go back...
Lucky I'm too old for such adventures.
Older in wisdom than in years...thankfully.
