God’s World

The world is such a wondrous place, God’s love is everywhere

He made this place quite beautiful, with thoughtfulness and care

The sun that shines and brings its light; it helps provide a way

To give much strength to living things and brightens up my day

The rain helps quench a thirsting, so I never will run dry

While giving me the rainbow; His promise in the sky.

The moon and stars are brilliant, they illuminate & shine

They light my path and dot the skies with a sparkle so divine

Massive clouds as white as snow, suspended in mid-air

They take on forms all their own, what a statement they declare

The trees are tall and stately as they stretch toward the sky

Their leaves provide abundant shade, and homes in branches high

His Flowers so magnificent, petals out-stretched wide

Every color of the rainbow; food and beauty they provide

Birds of flight are melodious, their praises fill the air

It’s obvious whom they’re singing to; of God they are aware

Mountains topped with caps of snow, silhouette the land

The beauty of their majestic peaks are formed by God’s own hand

And the rhythm of the rivers that gently dance and flow

And cascade throughout the countryside, leaving their echo

Listen to the enchanting songs, which possess the air at night

Bull frogs, owls and whippoorwills; their voices all unite

All the animals in the world are God’s creatures great and small

Each holds a beauty all their own, he loves them one and all

And all the people in this world, every color, race and creed

Each has a special purpose here, each has a special need

I should offer up a word of praise and show God’s love each day

To all the people that I meet, and help brighten up their way

Life is short and should be lived as each day is my last

To try and do what God would do and not dwell on the past

Life is such a precious gift, I thank God when I pray

That I choose to see the best of it and I’m grateful for each day

God’s world is filled with beauty, and it’s up to me to see

All that God has given me and all He wants for me to be.
