ClimbingI am the struggles of what has been left behind,counting time as dollars, I haven’t enough of the dollars and cents to make ends meet.I am the struggles of what is in front of me, yet, I try and climb the walls of strength, climbing sometimes, and falling, it seems,other times.I am the struggles not giving up because on thedays that I fall, you stand right beside me, inside me, in back of me, in front of me, and you lift me over the hurdles of a world that doesn’t know how to leave their struggles behind, and to thee I give my precious inner self, and I wait, and you deliverme once again from the struggles on this land, and I climb without falling to make ends meet. *and I climb without falling to make ends meet*. A happy ending to an impressive piece of creatively taking the reader through the struggles, the falling during the climb and, finally, victory through the invincible support of inner resources honed by experience. Once again you bring the reader into a relationship, an affinity with you through your superb use of the free verse form. This struggler dips his lid to you!
