Let's keep our troops in prayer, and please pass it on because prayer goes along way when it's coming from the heart.

on a land afar, when the back and front doors slam, closed, right before the streets quiet themselves calm and the stir of peace is a silence no one knows, just hold on, a minute more, if you can on the brink of war, silence stir’s, wondering what will tomorrow hold every minute is not just another minute, it’s a minute more, so wait a minute more, peace is what we bring the reporter’s, report, hoping that the next message coming through will be the ending of a short beginning, but, the writing is stated clearly on the wall and our soldier’s are positioned right, telling us, we are now on the brink of war coming up, the sun shines tomorrow’s struggles, and the day's drag long, and home as we last remembered, seems so far today’s memories left, are the thoughts we wonder if and what tomorrow will bring and for a chance to disturb yesterday with tomorrow’s promise, then today, I’d add the promise of no destruction yesterday, today, and tomorrow, I’m not quite sure if you can keep those kinds of promises, but, I know this day, called today, is on the brink of war, so promise me, if you can, that my heart won’t be broken with the hearts you’ve taken, leaving me for the first time to question my destiny, will it be without or will it go forth and sustain and, if you can, promise me that the hard working hands and feet missing, will return with the same hands and feet they left with, then, promise me, if you can, for all of this, you’ll work twice as hard for their safe return and, for all of those promises you can’t keep, I’ll let my father be the one to answer because his word is sufficient and it's all that I can handle so,pray, and pray faithfully for our troops, if we are to be, and don’t stop praying for today as the night light of night waits for the sunrise to shine tomorrow’s light we can get through this together, let a prayer catch on, if you can, and pray our troops a safe return home, if you can All rights reserved, 2003

Just a day after Veteran's day I read this poem in 08. I prayed for them last night in my prayers too. You are so correct, we must wait it out, pray for their safe return and pray we are doing the right thing by even sending them over there and losing so many by injuries or death. I feel so sorry for the families who have lost a loved one through this terrible thing so called almost war.
