rise, raising a helping hand and help a hand, helping stop imprisoning freedom, stop dying and live, give something back, give the gift of life keep an enthused hand helping, help a rising hand filled with freedom not to forfeit nor wither stand thorough and complete, embodied as a whole, raising conscious minds to help us, to help ourselves I am only but one, waiting for you to join me to make two, multiplying, and so on and so on we multiply and so here I am, I stand, I shine, red, white, and blue I stand, I wait patiently, for his continued blessings bringing me thus far, and so I wait for further instruction to keep me moving, thereafter I stand embraced by King�s movement on nonviolence, and I live to read about nonviolence advocates who want to redefine the laws of war, and I scroll down on the same page, wearing my heart and it�s contents in full gear, remembering the losses and whole-heartedly sending out a prayer, one of many turning the page, I�m not startled to see that the circle of life was broken, 1st time photographs, I see, and I am ashamed, because the opposite of living is dying, and there�s no sense made out of something wrong, and death made wrong will never be right I see unknown faces who believe in peace, and, although, this page didn�t make front page, I see these advocates who staged a candlelight vigil for the circle of life broken and I see life, staring, face-to-face, asking the same question: why by no coincidence, and, although, I�m a day late, I�m really on time, linking and continuing the chain of prayer, giving you your turn, which is next Iraqi footage aired, some of our troops captured, we treat yours humanely, you treat our the same, but when the possible seems impossible we have to link our prayer strong and not ask the human question, why I read to understand why three reporters are missing and I conclude their report that I�m sending out right away and I ask for mercy for all this world is becoming, without my voice to the world echoes, stop the violence, stop the punishment, war removes peace, stop punishing men, hear freedom ring, tired, just like Rosa Parks who sat for civil rights, I rise, raising a helping hand to help a hand, helping, and I want to stagger war, stomping out its existence, and I want a safe world, with safe nation�s, not wanting to read everyday on the front page about someone else�s struggles, I want to read about the positive, new and improved direction the world is going in, I want to be able to travel on the steps of my destination free, I want to be positively embraced by brotherly and sisterly love, and I want the opportunity for my children to give the gift of life and I want nation�s to have the right to share what has always been free, freedom, another gift of life Copyrights 2003, Rosalyn R Walker
