be counted out of the
black on black hate,
realizing that no matter
how you see it, it’s still
hate on hate

be counted in for the total sum of
love plus love equals,
black on black love,
one love,
showing up
and not giving up

be counted in on the total sum of
love plus love equals,
a little one on one,
black on black love,
for one another

let’s come alive,
be alive,
stay alive,
hate is hate
no matter
whose got the hate

the dawn of hate
rises with more hate
arriving and
shining no daylight while
darkness moves in
and shines its hate

time after time,
instructing our steps
out and beyond the
realms of hate and
relieving us from the
days of hate
that’s working harder than we,
we the people

but his whisper,
a whisper of relief
and a prayer in strength
encompassing a new
and better day for each
day that we rise and
walk through all of
hate’s hate

hate is hate
no mater, whose got the hate
love is love
no mater whose got the love

love yourself,
to love your race,
to love another race,
to love one another
as one

so show up today and keep it real
with the determination to move on,
to be counted in
where there is black love,
one love, and
be counted out of the
destruction, where hate is hate
have some heart,
some love,
a heart for one love
to become alive,
to stay alive,
to stop the hate,
hate on hate
with
mothers and daughters,
fathers and daughters,
mothers and sons,
fathers and sons,
husbands and wives,
brothers and sisters,
friends on friends,
black hate-on-black hate
and still hate is hate,
while love is
to become
one love,
to become alive,
not instinct,
to strive
to stay alive,
to thrive to exist
not once exist,
to stop the hate,
hate on hate,
before it’s too late,
to stop,
to replace,
to rid,
black aggressive hate
with a
black assertive and a
positive love
for one love
to stop the hate
because hate is still hate
no matter whose got the hate

I like it - the repetition works good in drumming the message and the positive message comes from the heart

dont you think the word hate even sounds horrible too. I cant understand folk sometime, I can honestly say I have never hated anyone, I am much too lazy for that.
A very powerful moving write Rosalyn, I went back to read it twice.
