Where do I put this? For me this is a Horror Story, one that is played out all over the world on a daily basis, though not all end this way. *****************************************************
Stains Standing at the kitchen sink She scrubs away her guilt and pain Her mind is blank, she cannot think. She only sees the stain. To him she opened up her heart. Gave to him her life to share. He swore to love, to never part. But now he doesn�t seem to care. Each night he stumbles through the door. Whisky smell upon his breath Knocks her cowering to the floor. As he kicks she prays for death. He does not want her anymore. Her baby�s the one he takes instead. Goes into her room and locks the door. Her baby cries out as he enters her bed. Last night she stood and blocked that door. She begged him not to enter within. He pushed her away across the floor. Then turned away and entered in. He did not hear her enter the room. Or know that steel had pierced his heart. Made no sound as he met his doom She wept as she dragged them both apart. She�s standing at the kitchen sink. She knows they�ll come, take her away Her mind is blank, tries not to think. She hums to herself as she starts to sway. Robin A Spicer � 2004-09-29

Quite a startling piece, Robin. It grabs the reader and shows them the horror of this type of abhorrence in humanity. The struggle of the woman is palpable and heart wrenching...

Dark. Chilling. Delivered well. I don't condone violence but can't help but think served the bastard right. However, in the real world, I hope people in such circumstances have the strength to find help and get help before it comes to this.
