The journeys in my mind

I’ve climbed mountains so high and sailed on oceans so blue.

Flew to the stars and stopped and visited new folks. Made friends of so many and saved more then a day or two.

All was so grand an easy to do. I had no restrictions or limits to observe.

My books started the process and my mind went from there. The greenest greens and bluest blues, the grandest sights of all.

All came from the books that I cherished so much. A world I was never meant to see.

But, by closing my eyes and letting the show begin, there was no way to stop me from seeing these things.

I learned that I could go anywhere and accomplish the same. These are the things that stayed with me to this very day.

It guides me to solving the hardest of puzzles and unafraid to step into the leading role.

If I fail then it’s on my terms with no regrets at all, are we entitled to ask for more.

I just thank god, I learned how to read.
