Breathe

I remember reading a story about a man on a sailboat trying to get lost; lost from family, friends, and people at work.

I guess it was just a simple matter of a man trying to get lost within himself.

That magical moment or time in our lives, when the weight of our world is expelled and replaced by the grand feeling of relief and a little fresh air.

As a group, we all fall victim to our surroundings, family, friends, and the pace of our lives; and at some point our minds decide to make their presence known.

The mind is a wonderful and dangerous device; it will without notice take us to places of wondrous enjoyment and terrifying disasters.

Sadly enough we end up in a fight to survive the tremendous weight of a stressful existence; a fight that can and does cause irreparable harm to our very being.

To escape this weight of the world and its impending disasters, we run from ourselves to find a space to stop the whirlwind pace of our lives.

I guess it’s only natural to place ourselves on a tall masted schooner where we stand at the helm and take control of our swirling winds and our turbulent seas.

We all think it should be so easy to sail through our lives; but, some are content to hide in the safety of that dream, but, if we never make the attempt then all we really do is agree to fail at all that we are.

Our struggles will always be many and successes far too few, but the only other option is to become nonexistent, and what a terrible waste of a human soul.

So, seize those moments that your mind wants to have; sail that schooner or climb that mountain; the destination is yours to choose.

Just remember when you return, you must stand tall and start living your life once again.

The yesterdays are for learning, today is yours to survive, and tomorrow is the hope for what you truly desire.

Bear

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani

“The woman or man who is a poet, or fiction writer, or playwright, or all of these, is engaged constantly in a jazz ballet of vocabularies, passions, genders, histories, perspectives, death, love, and life. The music of revelation announces itself to
