This poem is taken from my newest book "A Journey to Hell & Back: The Flip Side" The book is scheduled for release in March 2004

These Cycles

Dear God, these cycles when will they end…
Whenever I look around…
There they go again…
Oh God, these cycles where did they begin…

Oh God, these cycles please let them end…
My will can’t You bend…
It’s no longer re-peat, three-pete, or four-pete…
My crimes continue to compete…

Oh God, these cycles when will they end…
It’s a battle some say that we can’t win…
But God, You were with me when they began…
For victory, on You I depend…

Oh God, it began as a nag…
This opened the hole in the bag…
The nag was the only weapon I had…
Before I knew it I was mad…

Oh God, these cycles were disguised as my friends…
They were really hidden sin…
It was trying to destroy me from within…
Dear God, I know you are my true friend…

Oh God, these cycles are trying to destroy your plan…
But God, You created man…
My heart is in your hand…
Through this make me a witness to man…

My God, these cycles are with me wherever I turn …
Help me this lesson to learn …
These cycles are out of hand…
Make them cease at Your command…

Dear God, make me putty in Your hands…
Make Your wishes my command…
It’s on You that I depend…
You have been my closest friend…

Oh God, these cycles must cease…
You alone know what You created me to be…
Show me Your perfect plan…
I place my life in Your hand…

Dear God, glorify your name…
Let this be the new game…
These cycles can’t last…
You are the first and the last…

Dear God, help me to forget the past…
This pain is too great to last…
Help me through this some soul to win…
That in the end, You can call me friend…

Dear God, thank you so very much…
These cycles tried but my heart they couldn’t touch…
I don’t need to medicate…
Because my heart to You I dedicate…

Aching plea and thanks, for God's help! Well done, Charlotte. Keep writing and keep trusting! I especially like:
